Broadrock takes its design inspiration from the basaltic flows and cliffs in the Columbia River Gorge. The corrugated siding to refer to the texture of the cliffs as they erode. The horizontal datums reference the layers of sedimentary rock that are exposed through wind and water erosion and create shelves.

Broadrock consists of a mostly retail ground floor plate and residential units above. It has two unique pieces of program. The second floor has a large community deck and community space that is accessible to all residents of the Hyas Point Phase 1 development. The second is this building is the center of the property management of the development. The ground floor houses the leasing office and all the building maintenance support spaces.
