Sitka takes its inspiration from the forest and trees of the Columbia river gorge. The base of the building was inspired by the deep textures of the bark on cedar and douglas fir trees. It is clad in a heavily textured brick. The shingle texture on the top of the building is refers to the treestops of a fir forest.

The ground floor includes the typical retail, support spaces and residential lobby like the other buildings in Hyas Point Phase 1. Sitka is the only building that integrates a floor of about 13K sf of office space. Above all are residential units. With the building’s layout we have opportunities for large decks at the second floor units for the occupants to enjoy their view in their own private space.
