Located at the northwest corner of SE 12th and Ankeny, the Brim is a multi-family apartment building perched at the ecotone between the Central Eastside Industrial Districts and Buckman neighborhoods. Built on a small site, the building is both achieves highest and best use while incorporating façade composition that is both forward-looking and fine-grained to address the historic housing stock predominates in Buckman.

The juxtaposition of metal and stucco cladding are exaggerated through the subtly angular forms—playfully emphasizing the dichotomy of its context between industrial and historic residential.
