Alex Yale

Alex Yale is the co-founder and president of YBA Architects. As a design principal, Alex has over 10 years of experience executing mixed-use, transit-oriented developments.

Alex has particular interest and experience in designing residential, mixed-use, and institutional projects with complex site development and programmatic aspects. He is now focused on socioeconomics, life cycle costing, and the integrated design and construction process. Alex’s passion for art, design, and the environment drives his work. He has a deep appreciation for the ways in which architecture and responsible stewardship can enhance the natural world.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he is fond of the Pacific Northwest, a region where the built and natural environments have a strong dialogue.
